Obstetrics and Gynaecology Education and Training (OGET) Project
Addressing the essential need for equitable delivery of health services in rural, regional and remote areas across Australia. Support OGETContact Us
What is OGET?
The RANZCOG led Obstetrics and Gynaecology Education and Training (OGET) project is an Australian Government funded initiative that delivers education and skills maintenance training to health professionals across rural, regional, and remote Australia – with current funding until February 2026.
The project works towards the equitable delivery of health services in Australia by supporting the multi-disciplinary health workforce teams in these communities. This is achieved by the delivery of OGET by RANZCOG specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists (O&Gs) from regional health services to rural and remote health services using a hub and spoke model that incorporates case-based learning, practical skills stations and interactive forums.
OGET also fosters meaningful engagement between the OGET regional hospital hubs, and the peripheral rural and remote health services the regional hospital hubs support. This helps enhance support and collegiality across sites.
