How we advocate
As the peak body for women’s health in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, RANZCOG offers expert advice to guide changes in health policy and clinical practice.
The College cultivates relationships across the health system and government, ensuring collaboration and that our priorities are heard and acted upon. By closely monitoring the political landscape, we respond swiftly through formal processes, public communications, and established relationships whenever necessary. This approach ensures that women’s health and our members are effectively represented when important decisions are made.
Why we advocate
TV is a leading voice on critical issues in women’s health, dedicated to advocating for equitable care for women and their families while supporting the professionals who care for them.
The College works to ensure obstetrics and gynaecology remain sustainable and accessible, recognising that women’s health must be prioritised in key decision-making spaces. Advocacy underpins all aspects of the College’s work, as without it, decisions about our specialty risk being made for us, by others, without our input.
What we advocate for
As a core pillar of RANZCOG’s strategic priorities, the College’s advocacy focuses are:
