The peak body for obstetrics and gynaecology and women’s health in Aotearoa New Zealand welcomes the Government’s promise to establish a women’s health strategy.

Auckland-based obstetrician and gynaecologist and RANZCOG Vice President Dr Gill Gibson said: “Women’s health provides a foundation for the health of the community. The health needs of women are different from men depending on their life stage, and these differences are important when it comes to decisions around type of care and health resourcing.”

“Today’s announcement is welcomed, and we look forward to working with the Government to improve health services and equity and health outcomes for the women of Aotearoa New Zealand.”
